Delivery & Terms
This sets out your rights and obligations, and those of SKILL Electronics, in relation to the products and services we offer.
General Terms
All goods remain the property of SKILL Electronics until payment is made in full.
Delivery
Delivery is dependent on the size, weight and destination of the total order. For example, the delivery charge for a small LCD TV sent to a mainland UK postal address is typically £5-20, but may be higher for a larger item or to a non-mainland UK address.
Delivery of in-stock items usually takes two working days from date of posting, but may take longer if circumstances beyond our control disrupt postal services. All delivery timescales given are estimates. Products are delivered direct from our shop must be signed for on delivery.
Special requests (e.g. Guaranteed Next Day delivery) can also be accommodated.
Returns
Prior to their dispatch, all items are checked by our staff to ensure products reach you complete and fully functional.
Like most online stores our returns policy and warranty are on a ‘Return to Base’ basis, allowing us to inspect the goods and take the appropriate course of action. This means that the customer is responsible for return delivery costs and Skill Electronics is not responsible for any postage costs incurred for any returned item.
UNWANTED PURCHASES
Unwanted purchases must be returned to us within seven days of your receiving of the item. Goods must be returned in an unmarked, unused and resalable condition to be applicable for a refund. Refunds cannot be granted for items that do not meet these conditions.
FAULTY GOODS
All returns of faulty items are subject to manufacturers' warranties.
If your purchase develops a fault within its guarantee period we will ask you to post the item to us (at your expense) and arrange to repair and return the product to you free of charge (UK mainland only).
If our engineers find no mechanical or electrical fault with your unit, the full cost of return postage will be charged to the customer. Alternatively you may arrange collection by courier at your expense.
IMPORTANT!
This does not apply to faults/damage caused by accident, neglect, faulty installation or misuse for which there can be no refund or exchange. Some items we sell should be fitted by a competent and recognised installer, failure to observe this will nullify the warranty.
Prices and Duties
All prices include VAT at the current rate. If you want your purchase to be delivered outside the European Union, you will be responsible for paying all applicable duties.
Making a contract with us
Goods or services must be ordered using your correct name, address and any other requested details. Whilst processing your order, you may be asked for credit, debit or charge card details. You must ensure that (i) you are fully entitled to use that card at the time when you provide those details to SKILL Electronics, and when you use the card and (ii) the card has available funds to cover all charges incurred on it in the course of buying from us. If any of the information you enter becomes incorrect or is superseded, then please notify us with the corrected information immediately. You must also legally be able to enter into contracts for goods and services that you may buy here.
Errors
If an incorrect price is shown in error, we reserve the right to cancel or refuse the order. If payment has already been taken a full refund will be given.
Loss
SKILL Electronics will not be liable to you or any third party for any indirect loss or damage, or for any loss of data, profit, revenue or business. You also agree that the liability of SKILL Electronics under this agreement will not exceed the sums paid or payable by you. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes to this Agreement
SKILL Electronics reserves the right to change the terms of this agreement from time to time, and post a new version on our website. The new version will take effect from the day of posting on the site. Price and availability information are also subject to change without notice.
Jurisdiction
Sales are governed by English law and you agree to submit any dispute to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. All orders are subject to these terms and conditions.
